Tomorrow, 22nd August, sees the release of new film The Air He Breathes, in which Charlotte Ann Tucker is playing Emma, alongside Kelcie Stranahan as her on-screen mother Liz. The Air He Breathes will be shown on Passionflix, and is based on a book by best-selling author Brittainy Cherry. Further screen work for Charlotte includes playing Young Tory (Peyton List) in Series 6 of Cobra Kai, the recurring role of Donna in the TV series Average Joe, and guest-starring in the pilot episode of NBC's Found as Sarah Holden. Charlotte made her first main role appearance at the age of four, when she played Lily Loud in Nickelodeon's A Loud House Christmas.

Can you tell us about the new film The Air He Breathes and your character Emma?

The Air He Breathes is a movie about a woman named Liz, who has a daughter named Emma, played by me. After Emma's father dies, they move back home to her grandparents. They meet the next door neighbour, Tristan and he starts helping them out. He is sad because his wife and son died. Emma really likes him and his dog Zeus. It has a lot of sweet scenes and some sad ones but a really great story.

What was it like on the set of The Air He Breathes?

I had so much fun on the set of The Air He Breathes. All the cast and crew were so nice. They surprised me with donuts for breakfast and two birthday cakes on my birthday. One of my favourite things to do on filming days was actually school. It was the first time I had to do set school and I loved my teachers. We did all sorts of fun things like going outside and learning about insects and building with magnetic blocks.

What was Emma like to play and how was it acting alongside Kelcie Stranahan?

It was pretty easy to play Emma, because she is a lot like me. She likes to explore and she loves dogs. Kelcie was so nice to film with. We sang and danced together and she even crawled under a table to help me scare Faye.

How was it playing Young Tory (Peyton List) in Series 6 of Cobra Kai?

Playing Young Tory in Cobra Kai was a dream come true. It is one of my big sisters' favourite shows so they were very excited. It was very fun because Young Tory is a lot like me. She likes to colour and it's my favourite thing to do! I also got to meet Peyton List, who is one of my favourite actresses and plays big Tory.

You were seen in the recurring role of Donna in Average Joe, how was this to work on?

Filming on the show Average Joe was lots of fun. Everyone was super nice. They decorated the bedroom with lots of photos of me so it looked real. The director of one of the episodes is really good friends with Jonathan Judge, who was the director of The Loud House.

What was it like guest-starring in the pilot episode of Found for NBC?

Filming Found was so much fun. I got to play a little girl who got kidnapped but then she was found. They had to get my clothes all dirty. I then had a scene in a hospital which I had never done before. Everyone was so nice and had lots of energy like me. We did lots of colouring in between takes.

What do you remember from filming A Loud House Christmas?

When I filmed A Loud House Christmas, I had just turned four. It was so much fun because I had one big brother and nine big sisters in the movie. So there were a lot of kids on set. A favourite memory from filming was having the snowball fight in the middle of May!

How was it being involved with Nickelodeon for your first main role?

Being a part of the Nickelodeon family is so cool. I didn't really understand it when I was filming but now it's pretty neat to see myself on a channel that I like to watch. One of my biggest dreams is to go to the Kids' Choice Awards one day and get slimed.

How did you get into acting?

I got into acting when I was two. My older sister wanted to get into acting and I was cute and liked to make faces so I went along with her to see an agent. She signed both of us. Then I booked my very first role as Lily Loud on A Loud House Christmas. I loved it so much and wanted to keep doing it.

Can you tell us about your charity work?

I love helping other people when I can. We raised money by selling T-shirts with some of my quotes on them and doing Cameo videos. We gave some of the money to The Childhood Cancer Society and were able to send two kids who had battled cancer on a special Disney vacation. We also took $1,000 and went shopping at Target. We bought lots of art supplies, LEGO, games, toys and more and donated them all to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

How do you like to spend your time away from acting?

When I am not acting, I like to colour and draw. I also love to dance. I am always dancing and love to make up dances and put on shows with my sisters. I also do gymnastics and have some meets coming up soon.

Can you tell us more about your experience working with Shanola Hampton on NBC's Found?

Working with Shanola Hampton on Found was amazing! She always had so much positive energy which I have too. We colored together which is always my favorite.

What was it like having a recurring role on Average Joe alongside Deon Cole?

Working on Average Joe was so much fun. I didn't actually get to work with Dean Cole, but I did work with Michael Trucco. Before I filmed with him, I watched him on Fire Country. He was great to work with especially since these were tough scenes.

How did you prepare for your co-star role in Netflix's Cobra Kai with Peyton List?

Luckily there wasn't too much to do to prepare for my role as Young Tory in Cobra Kai. Young Tory is a lot like me. She was coloring in the scene which is one of my most favorite things to do. For the audition, I did have to learn my lines and get into character and stay grounded which is one of the things my acting coaches teach me. It means being realistic instead of over the top. In acting grounded does not mean you got in trouble and are grounded for a month.

Can you share any behind-the-scenes moments from The Air He Breathes?

We had so much fun while on set for The Air He Breathes. One of my favorite moments was when everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. They also surprised me with 2 cakes, one was vanilla and one was oreo. Another fun moment was when I got to play in the baby pool with the dog, Zeus. I splashed and dumped water all over me. It was a chilly day so when I got out I was cold.

What can we expect from The Air He Breathes on Passionflix?

In The Air He Breathes, I play Emma. In the movie, my father passes away so my mom and I move back home. We live with my grandma and grandpa. We meet the next door neighbor, Tristan. He is also sad about his wife and son dying. He starts helping out like mowing the lawn. They have some fun adventures together and some scary ones. But luckily it has a happy ending.

How did you feel when you found out you got the role of Lily Loud?

When I got the role for Lily Loud in A Loud House Christmas I had just turned 4 so I don't really remember how I felt. It was my first time on set ever. The first day on set I met all my set brothers and sisters. They made lots of fake snow and we had a snowball fight. It was so much fun I couldn't wait to go back. We filmed for a long time and a favorite memory was playing duck duck goose with my set siblings in between filming. They were so fun.

What motivates you to support organizations that help kids and the homeless?

I like helping kids and the homeless because it makes me feel good and it makes them smile when they are having a bad day.

Can you tell us about your work with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta?

We had lots of fun helping Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We raised money by selling t-shirts and doing cameo videos. We took $1,000 and spent it all at Target. We bought Legos, games, coloring stuff, stuffed animals and lots more. We filled up a whole cart! We took it to the hospital and they are going to give it to the kids when they are getting something yucky done or having a bad day.

How do you balance acting, gymnastics, and social media?

Balancing acting and gymnastics gets hard sometimes if I am busy. Sometimes I have to miss gymnastics for filming. So far I haven't had to miss too much. And I like to stretch and workout when I am traveling to help. Staying positive on Instagram is easy because I am pretty much positive all the time.

Charlotte Tucker's rise to fame began with an unexpected twist of fate. What was meant to be a simple outing to support her sister's acting ambitions soon became a game-changer for Charlotte herself, landing her the role of Lily Loud in A Loud House Christmas. Now, as a standout child star who has dazzled audiences in everything from Netflix's Cobra Kai to the eagerly anticipated The Air He Breathes, Charlotte has firmly established her place in the entertainment world.

Where are you based?

I live in Atlanta, GA.

What inspired you to pursue a career in the entertainment industry at such a young age?

My big sister wanted to become an actress and started taking classes. When she went to an agency audition, my mom took me to because I liked to perform for people and make them laugh. She ended up signing both of us and I booked my first role as Lily Loud in "A Loud House Christmas".

You have already played roles in popular shows like Cobra Kai and A Loud House Christmas. What has been the most challenging role for you so far, and why?

My most challenging role so far has been Emma in "The Air He Breathes", because I had to film a lot of scenes which means I had to learn a lot more lines. But it was also my most fun role because I got to know everyone so well and we had so much fun on set.

Congratulations on your upcoming film The Air He Breathes. Could you share more details about the film with us?

Thank you so much! This film is really special to me because I got to work on it for a whole month so I really got to know all the cast and crew. It's about a woman named Liz who moves back home after her husband dies. She meets Tristan who lives next door who is also sad because he lost his wife and son. I play Emma, Liz's daughter. They get to know Tristan and both really like him. There are a lot of happy moments, as well as sad parts in the movie.

What are your long-term goals in your acting career?

When I get older I want to go to the Kids Choice Awards and I want to win an Oscar. I would also love to be the lead in a big movie! When I'm not acting I love gymnastics and dancing. I am working on my round-off backhandspring and hope to be in a dance recital on the stage.

We heard that you spent time working with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Can you tell us more?

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is our local children's hospital. I like helping people and I had so much fun shopping for their prize room. We spent $1,000 at Target that we raised from t-shirts and cameo videos. We bought games, art supplies, Barbies, Legos, stuffed animals, and more and donated them to the hospital. We filled our cart up to the top. They give the toys to the kids when they have to do something that hurts or makes them sad so that it cheers them up.

With a busy acting career, how do you manage school, hobbies like gymnastics, and spending time with friends and family?

It can get hard doing it all especially when I'm filming a lot. I homeschool so that gives me more time for acting and when you are filming and have to miss school. I have lots of friends, and try to see them when I can and on the weekends.

You have some exciting projects coming up in 2025. Are there any other upcoming projects you would like to share?

I do have some exciting projects coming up but I can't share too many. I filmed an episode of "High Potential" in LA which will premiere in October. It's a brand new series on ABC. I also have two other projects that are coming out in 2025 that I can't talk about, and one of them was my most favorite role to shoot.

What advice would you give to other young actors who are just starting?

I would tell other actors starting out that they need to be confident in themselves. They also have to learn all of their lines and just have fun.

What is your motto in life?

My motto in life is to wake up happy and smile, so you can make other people happy.
